The Official Raspberry Pi Desktop Kit includes the fastest model of the Raspberry Pi family. The kit includes the Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 GB of RAM and everything you need to get up and running within minutes in the exciting world of Raspberry Pi, including the official keyboard and mouse.

The Raspberry Pi 4 offers ground-breaking increases in processor speed, multimedia performance, memory, and connectivity compared to the prior-generation boards, while retaining backwards compatibility and similar power consumption. The Raspberry Pi 4 provides desktop performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems.

Due to the higher power requirements, the Raspberry Pi 4 requires a 3.0A USB-C power supply. The Official Raspberry Pi USB-C power supply that is included in this kit is specially designed and tested for the Raspberry Pi 4.

The standard HDMI port that were part of previous generation Raspberry Pi generation boards is replaced on the Raspberry Pi 4 by two Micro HDMI ports to provide dual monitor support. The Raspberry Pi Desktop Kit includes a high quality 4K60P Micro HDMI to HDMI cable (3 feet) to provide best output display resolution support.

The kit includes the sleek Official Raspberry Pi 4 Case and, to complete the official set, includes the Official Raspberry Pi Keyboard and Mouse. The keyboard and mouse feature an ergonomic design for comfortable use. The keyboard incorporates a built-in hub adding three additional USB 2.0 ports to your Raspberry Pi.

CONNECTION DIAGRAM

This is the configuration we recommend for using your Raspberry Pi, official keyboard and hub, and Official Raspberry Pi Mouse together. The hub on the keyboard ensures easy access to USB drives, and the mouse’s cable is tidy, while being long enough to allow you to use the mouse left- or right-handed.

Note: It is important that the power supply is connected to the Raspberry Pi and the keyboard is connected to the Raspberry Pi. If the power supply were connected to the keyboard, with the Raspberry Pi powered via the keyboard, then the keyboard would not operate correctly.
